Melinda is a Toronto-based artist with a creative background in fashion design and fine art.

Although art had always been a part of her identity during her younger years - from sketching clothing designs to creating pieces inspired by lyrics and music - her corporate career in event management, alongside “life’s journey”, eventually pushed art into the backseat, and she didn’t pick up a paint brush for 20 years.

Like many others, Melinda juggles work and a busy home life, and when faced with the unflinching responsibilities and realities of life, she was forced to acknowledge the imbalance in her own existence, and rediscovered her passion for painting.

Melinda gains inspiration from a diverse range of sources, from music to movement, and works primarily with acrylic, clay, and mixed media.
